The rotunda at The National Archives Museum was pretty sweet. This is the room where they house the founding documents for the United States.

Klima is a little village along the gulf channel leading into the port of Adamantas in Milos. The area is filled with history. Nearby there’s the ruins of an amphitheater from the Hellenistic era and catacombs from the 1st century AD. We enjoyed walking up and down this little village and the view across the channel was spectacular.

Not all diamonds are forever. Especially here at Jökulsárlón. This beach and another nearby have been nicknamed Diamond Beach for the simple reason that they tend to catch pieces of the Vatnajökull glacier that break off and float toward the sea.
These pieces of ancient ice are polished in the glacial meltwater bay. This can make them glimmer in the light like diamonds. Their stark contrast with the black volcanic sand is really something beautiful.

Walking around in the cliffside village of Imerovigli is so nice. There are so many little great views of the electric blue water of the caldera from every street. Maybe one day we’ll get to go back.

This past weekend we spent some relaxing family time in the Pisgah National Forest. These woods of over half a million acres contain hundreds of waterfalls, whitewater rivers, and miles of hiking trails. The scenery here is really has its own amazing Appalachian aesthetic.
Most of these images are straight out of the camera from a Fujifilm X-T30 with an inexpensive 27mm pancake prime lens. I’m loving this light little setup as a travel camera.
